USB iPod Connection
Yamaha’s RX-V471 AV Receiver offers simple plug and play operation for an iPhone or iPod. Attach the white cable supplied with the iPod/iPhone to the USB input on the front of the receiver and navigate the music via the on-screen GUI using the receiver’s remote control. The iPod/iPhone will also conveniently charge while connected to the receiver.
HDMI with 3D and Audio Return Channel
HDMI connectivity on this model not only includes 3D support but also Audio Return Channel. This means that you don't have to connect an optical cable from the TV to the RX-V471 receiver to get sound through your system rather than the television speakers. The audio is sent from the TV’s HDMI input to the output of the receiver, so all that is needed is one HDMI cable from the receiver to the TV.
HD Audio Decoding
With built-in decoders for the latest HD Audio Formats including Dolby True-HD and DTS Master Audio, Yamaha’s RX-V471 has the ability to deliver HD Audio to your speakers, identical to the movie studios master recording.
Preset Coded Remote Control
Yamaha’s RX-V471 AV Receiver (and all Yamaha AV Receivers) comes with Preset Remote Control, which allows your remote control to mimic the commands and functions of most popular brands of TV, DVD, STB, Blu-ray and other devices, reducing the number of remote controls needed and there reducing clutter on the coffee table!
3D CINEMA DSP with Virtual Presence Speakers
The RX-V471 uses Yamaha’s 3D CINEMA DSP to provide a more open sound field. Using Virtual Presence Speaker technology, the RX-V471 allows HD Audio format decoding (like Dolby True HD and DTS Master Audio) delivering 3D sound without actual use of extra presence speakers.
105W Per Channel
With a power increase over the RX-V371, the RX-V471 delivers more power to your speakers, enabling a better soundstage. This helps to create better sound effects when watching movies and improved dynamics for music
Eaxy Placement, Anywhere
The compact front and surround speakers are small enough to be placed around the room on bookshelves, tables or a small shelf, and can also be mounted on walls. The included speaker stands enable easy mounting anywhere in the room.
